The number of members of the Society is unlimited. Membership consists of the following categories, as set out in the Constitution.
Any person resident in Zimbabwe, or such other territories as may be determined by Council subject to the approval of ZHB, is eligible for membership as an Ordinary Member.
Any society, partnership, company, body corporate or any other person engaged directly or indirectly in the breeding of Brahman cattle may apply to be placed on the breeders list.
Any person not directly engaged in breeding Brahman cattle but interested in the activities and welfare of the Society. Special Members may not vote or be elected to Council.
Honorary Life Members or patrons may be elected at the Annual General Meeting on the recommendation of Council.
Any minor under the age of 18 who is interested in Brahman cattle may become a Junior Member. Junior Members do not have a vote.
Application for membership as an Ordinary, Special or Junior member is made in writing to the Secretary, in the form prescribed by Council, accompanied by the relevant subscription and entrance fee as set out in the Society's schedule of fees.
Annual subscriptions are payable in advance and fall due on the first day of January each year at the offices of the Society.
The Council may admit any applicant as a member and/or breeder of the Society, either unconditionally or on such conditions as it may determine.
