Who We Are

Brahman Breeders Society of Zimbabwe

Brahman cattle — Bos indicus — are defined in our Constitution as all pedigree animals of the breed Brahman. The Society exists to encourage, promote and improve the breeding of these remarkable animals in Zimbabwe, and to maintain, unimpaired, the purity of the breed with due observance to its adaptability.

The Society carries out its functions under the Registration of Pedigree Livestock Act and by virtue of its affiliation to the Zimbabwe Herd Book (ZHB). It is also affiliated to the Brahman Breeders' Society of South Africa.

The office of the Society is situated at the Livestock Centre, Exhibition Centre, Samora Machel West, Belvedere, Harare.
